Partisan Primary Election

The Partisan Primary will be held Tuesday, August 9. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.  The purpose of this election is to decide who will represent each political party in the General Election in November. To find out the offices and candidates listed on the ballot please visit www.myvote.wi.gov.  

Voter Registration 

Regardless of what method you use to vote, registering before the election will save time on election day. You can register at City Hall until 5 p.m. the Friday before the election. You must always provide a Proof of Residence document when registering.  

Voting Options  

In-Person Absentee Voting

In-person absentee voting for the Partisan Primary election began on July 26 and continues through Friday, August 5, at 5 p.m. Voters can vote in-person via absentee ballot at City Hall prior to Election Day during regular office hours. On August 5, City Hall office hours will be extended to 5 p.m.  Photo ID is REQUIRED for in-person absentee voting.  

Vote by Mail

You may choose to have a ballot mailed to you for the August election. Request an absentee ballot either online through the MyVote website or in writing by email or mail from the City Clerk by Thursday, August 4. A Photo ID is required regardless of the method used to request your ballot. Please be sure to allow for mailing time, as the ballot must be returned by Election Day at 8 p.m.  

Vote on Election Day

For those who wish to vote in person on Election Day, the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at City Hall. Our election workers will be happy to assist you. All our election staff will be attentive to keeping the election facility as clean and safe as possible.
