The City Clerk's Office has mailed out absentee ballots for the April 5, 2022 Election to voters with requests on file. Inside the envelope are two instruction sheets that show how to fill out the envelope and how to return your ballot. They also include the following information:
- If you choose to mail your absentee ballot back to City Hall, the United States Postal Service recommends mailing your ballot at least one week before Election Day. Returning a ballot from overseas may take longer.
- You can choose to drop off your absentee ballot at the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 710 S. Janesville Street, during office hours or at the polls on Election Day between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
- The use of drop boxes is NOT PERMITTED FOR THIS ELECTION. Please do not place an absentee ballot in any drop box throughout City facilities.
- Absentee ballots may not be returned by email or fax.
