At the Common Council meeting on Tuesday, June 16, the Common Council approved moving to Phase 2 of the City of Milton’s Reopening Phased Plan (https://tinyurl.com/yb2dw6vy). Below are a list of changes based on Phase 2.
- City Hall and the Police Department lobbies will be open to the public during regular business hours starting June 17, and the Public Works lobby will be open to the public starting June 22. The City continues to encourage the public to utilize alternative methods of completing business with the City (paying bills online, calling or emailing staff, etc.) in order to reduce the potential for exposure for our staff, their families, and our community members.
- Park bathrooms will be open starting Monday, June 22. They will be cleaned once per day. Community members can use them at their own risk. We encourage everyone to practice good hygiene by washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, limit the number of people in the restroom at one time, and avoid touching your face and other surfaces.
- Park pavilion and Community House rentals will resume with guidance from City Hall requesting gatherings be limited to 25 or less in congruence with the revised guidelines from Rock County. They will be rented every other day in order to allow sufficient time for the facilities to be cleaned. There will only be five picnic tables under each pavilion and five tables at the Community House.
- Staff and the Common Council are evaluating whether to begin having in-person meetings for the Common Council and other committees, commissions, and boards or to continue having virtual meetings. More information on this piece will be available at a later date.
