Board of Review
The Board of Review has the powers and duties as prescribed by Wis. Stats. § 70.47. The board reviews property assessment objections from property owners and certifies the assessment rolls. The Assessor and property owner will have the opportunity to present evidence supporting their position on a property valuation when a challenge is presented by the property owner. The Board of Review has the power to revise the property's value or maintain the property's value established by the assessor based on the evidence presented.

Community Development Authority
Acts as the city's housing authority to address all projects relating to blight eliminations, clearance of undesirable conditions, urban renewal, and redevelopment programs. Acts as agent for the city in planning and implementing community development programs and activities approved by the mayor and Common Council

Ethics Board
The Ethics Board is responsible for reviewing complaints regarding violations of the City of Milton Code of Ethics.

Historic Preservation Commission
Responsible for designating historic structures, historic sites, and historic districts within the city limits and encourages historic preservation in the city. The Historic Preservation Commission also provides residents with continuing education about the historic heritage of the city and works with the Milton Historical Society and Wisconsin Historical Society.

Joint Fire Commission
The Milton-Milton Township Fire Department is a joint department operated in conjunction with the Township of Milton. The department provides all firefighting and emergency medical services (EMS) as well as fire inspections within the City of Milton and Milton Township. The department also contracts with the Town of Harmony, Town of Lima, Town of Johnstown, and Town of Koshkonong. The Joint Fire Commission governs the department, and consists of members of the City of Milton Common Council and Town of Milton Board.

Library Board
Protects and advances the interests of the broader community by effectively governing the operations and promoting the development of the local public library.

Parks & Recreation Commission
Jurisdiction over all city parks and has the power to adopt rules and regulations for the proper use, care, and maintenance of the parks.

Plan Commission
Reviews and takes action on site plans for commercial, industrial, and some residential sites, conditional use permit applications, and applications for nonconforming, unclassified, and temporary uses. The Plan Commission is also responsible to review and approve or deny all land divisions in the City of Milton or within the territory over which the city is given platting jurisdiction.

Police Commission
Responsible for the hiring, promotion, and discipline of Milton Police Department officers.

Public Works Committee
Responsible for issues involving streets, sidewalks, sanitation, sanitary and storm sewers, water utility, and public property. The Public Works Committee has jurisdiction over the Public Works Department, water utility, city parks, and community buildings.

Zoning Board of Appeals
Responsible for hearing and deciding appeals related to variances, the enforcement of codes, regulations, or ordinances and applications for interpretations of the codes, regulations, ordinances, and boundaries of the zoning districts.
