Dog & Cat Licenses

All City of Milton residents owning a dog or cat that is 5 months of age or older must have their pet licensed.  The license year is January 1 through December 31.

Fees

Spayed or Neutered Cat or Dog:  $8.00

Unspayed or Unneutered Cat or Dog:  $15.00

Late Fee:  $10.00  - A late fee will apply on April 1 of the current license year.  (The late fee does not apply to new licenses.)

Payments can be made by mail, at City Hall, or online (click on Quick Pay).

Apply In Person

You can apply in person at City Hall during business hours.  Please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Owner's name, address, and phone number
  • Name of pet
  • Age of pet
  • Breed of pet
  • Color of pet
  • If the pet is spayed or neutered
  • Proof of current rabies vaccination, if not currently on file
  • Proof of spaying or neutering, if applicable

Apply By Mail

To apply by mail, please include the following:

  • Owner's name, address, and phone number
  • Name of pet
  • Age of pet
  • Breed of pet
  • Color of pet
  • Proof of current rabies vaccination, if not currently on file
  • Proof of spaying or neutering, if applicable
  • Enclose a check (made payable to the City of Milton) for the appropriate fee as listed above.
  • Enclose a self-addressed stamped business size envelope for the return of your documents and your new license.
