Yard Waste Drop Off Site

Compost and yard waste may be put in the designated containers at the Public Works Facility, 150 Northside Drive.  In 2023, the site will be open April 1 - November 30. Brush is not accepted.  No dumping on ground unless dumpsters are completely full.  

Available for City of Milton residents only. Contractors are NOT allowed to use this service. 

All non-biodegradable containers must be emptied and taken home or placed in the trash can next to the drop-off site. There is no fee for compost yard waste drop-off.

The Public Works Department also collects yard waste at the curb during the spring of each year. 

Accepted Items

Grass clippings, leaves, small twigs, raw garden waste, tree seeds, pine cones, flowering plants, and other materials deemed acceptable by a Public Works representative.


Non-Accepted Items

Food waste, tree branches, firewood, plastic bags, paper bags, cardboard, trash, and other items deemed unacceptable by a Public Works representative.
