Running for Office

Do you have an interest in serving your community? Individuals wanting to run for Mayor or Alderperson on the City of Milton Common Council may begin collecting signatures for nomination on December 1st. Candidate packets are to be picked up at Milton City Hall or they can be accessed on the City's website.

Terms are two years for Council. There are six positions with three voted in per year. All positions are considered at-large and not restricted to wards or districts.

The term for Mayor is also for two years.  The Mayor race appears on the ballot during odd numbered election years.
